Inhabitants of southeast of Iran in Persian Stars Game, celebrated 100 Hours of Astronomy:

Thursday: 02/04/2009 
Members of Mehbang Astronomical Society were present in Mellat Park from 9am to1pm to introduce to the general public the International Year of Astronomy & certain programs of the year.
  
Then from 4pm to 7pm in Martyrs Garden, some brochures (about constellations, International Year of Astronomy, extraterrestrial life, and history of astronomy in Iran & in the world) were distributed among martyrs' relatives & other people and they were familiarized with the sky & its great beauties. Because of the cloudy sky the interested people just observed the Moon through the telescopes & binoculars.

After that from 7pm to 10am, 3 groups of Mehbang members took their telescopes & binoculars among people in 3 different regions of the city: Shadiha Park, Qods Park and Shohada Square. Although the sky was partly cloudy, the sky observation was managed & eager eyes became acquainted with some celestial objects.

In the Nature Day, people standing beside the telescopes, observing the sky precisely & studying brochures curiously, seemed quite happy & content of befriending with the nature of the earth & the sky.

Friday: 03/04/2009
 The Astronomy Exhibition was on from 9am to 9pm in Azadi Park of Zahedan. It contained different pavilions:
• History of Astronomy & Ancient Astronomical Instruments
• Making Simple Sundials
• Celestial Sphere & Constellations
• Solar System Planets
• Preventing Light-Pollution & Making Dark Skies
• Cosmology & Introducing Celestial Objects
• Space Flights
• The Clean Earth
• Astronomical Questions
• Observational Equipments & Optical Astronomy
• Painting (for children)
• Sky Observation

Saturday: 04/04/2009
In the morning from 9am to 12, people in the City's squares were given some brochures (including brief information about International Year of Astronomy, constellations, position of our planet in the space & extraterrestrial life) and got acquainted with "astronomy made simple."
Then from 6pm to 9pm, although the sky was again partly cloudy, people enjoyed observing the Moon and Saturn by the telescopes located at Qods Park, Daneshgah Street, Nikbakht Engineering College, and Azad University.

Sunday: 05/004/2009
"100 hours of Astronomy" Conference with the participation of lots of keen people was held from 5pm to 9pm. Subjects such as "Ancient & Modern Astronomy", "100 hours of Astronomy", "Projects of International Year of Astronomy", "Constellations", "Solar System", and "Space Flights" were presented during the conference.

The observation in the last night of 100hours of Astronomy project in Zahedan was canceled because of the heavy rain.
